Cryptocurrencies are still the wild wild west, and there are so many scammers in the unique space.

The Crypto Scam Alerts channel is dedicated to highlighting the latest crypto scams floating around via popular social media channels (such as Telegram, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and so on) and keep people safe.

Don't trust crypto offers that come from social media, especially if there seems to be an impossible result. Fake accounts are everywhere. If someone on these platforms asks for even a small amount of your cryptocurrency, likely, you can never get it back. Just because others are replying to the offer, don't assume they aren't bots, either. You have to be extra careful.

WATCH OUT FOR YOUTUBE ADS PROMOTING FREE AIRDROPS BY VISITING THEIR WEBSITE AND CONNECTING YOUR METAMAST WALLET, IN THIS CASE, CAKEAIRDROP.COM. YouTube is running hot with Crypto content at the moment especially with all the news of FTX and Sam Bankman-Fied, and scammers are taking advantage of the situation. This Youtube Ad is a long video promoting a scam website called cakeaidrop.com, which demonstrates how you can get a $500 airdrop simply by visiting the website and connecting your MetaMask wallet. This scam is easy to fall into, especially if you are new to crypto, as it's professional done via a paid actor and is very descriptive. If you do go ahead and connect your metamask wallet, they will likely steal your crypto assets or hack into your PC. Calling all JRNY Club and Planet XOLO NFT holders - the official JRNY Club Twitter account @JRNYclub was hacked on 29/06/2022, so do not click on any links posted in the account report the account to Twitter. Additionally, the website link posted by the scammer promoting a mint for free JRNY Club passes is fake and will attempt to steal your assets from your MetaMask wallet. Tony has attempted to resolve the issue by contacting Twitter to block the account, so please be patient. Unfortunately, this is a common scam in the Crypto scam where a scammer will target an official Twitter account and attempt to scam the entire community. Today I am going to talk about The Sandbox Mint scam via Discord. A private message is sent (seemingly by The Sandbox team) stating you have an opportunity to mint land with the following information: ▢️ We officially started the sales round ▢️ Max per wallet: 5 ▢️ Price per land: 0.5 ETH (excluding gas fees) ▢️ Limited number of lands Want to verify that you received your NFT? After minting simply go to OpenSea. The scam lures you into clicking the link to a fake Sandbox website (in this case https://sandbox.secureminting.io/?Mc2TsX02pchNiFGEfnT) and paying for the required amount of land using ETH via your crypto wallet (normally MetaMask). If you proceed with this transaction, you will lose all your funds and they may even hack into your wallet to steal your other assets. No legitimate crypto project should ever ask you to mint NFTs via private messages on social channels. Due to its overwhelming popularity, it has seemed to attract a lot of scammers targeting people via fake websites, discord/telegram groups and telegram groups. If you type in the terms 'Monkeyball' or 'Monkey Ball', there may be a Google ad displayed attracting users to the monkeyball-meta dot com website. This is a fake website luring people into buying $MBS tokens by sending ETH or BNB to a contract address. There are other replica Monkeyball websites which I speak about during this video. The video demonstrates how you can purchase the MetaVPad by sending BNB in return for the tokens (1 BNB= 500,000 $METAVPAD) via a scammy looking website called https://Metavpad.top/. If you send your BNB to their BSC address, you will never see those funds again. The following Youtubers have been so far identified as scammers linked to this Metavpad.top website: - Crypto Box - SunFinal This scam is an easy one to fall for because it's one of the first videos to be displayed on the Google search if you type in 'MetaVPad' until, of course, I uploaded this video to help protect people. NO, PLEASE DON'T CLICK ON THIS LINK! And guys, please don't fall for good looking girls trying to DM you via Discord... seriously! It's not a picking up platform and there are lots of scammers trying to wreck the newbie crypto degens. The crunchbaseltd.com website lures you into investing a certain amount of money via Crypto, and they promise you a daily return. The more you invest, the more return you get, and it all sounds too good to be true. The reality is if you go ahead and invest your crypto, you will never see those funds again. Shiba Inu is attracting a lot of attention from scammers to steal money from an unsuspecting audience, especially those who are new to crypto. Today, I will talk about a YouTube LIVE video scam featuring Shiba Inu branding and Elon Musk, the original lover of dog coins (talking on repeat), boxes on a page promoting a massive Shiba Inu giveaway. They claim that if you visit the website and follow some simple steps, you will make 2 to 10 times the SHIB your deposit amount. For example, if you deposit 200,000,000 SHIB, they promise to return 400,000,000 SHIB back to your SHIB address. The more SHIB you deposit, the more SHIB you will get back, they say. I feel Crypto newbies could easily fall for this scam, thinking they can make quick money if they follow the steps. Today I am going to talk about an NFT presale mint scam via Discord with regards to the MekaVerse. MekaVerse is a popular NFT project which over 250,000 members on their official Discord channel and only 8888 Mekas to be minted in early October 2021. Scammers are targeting members of the MekaVerse Discord channel by sending direct messages saying they can mint up to wallet 10 Mekas via their fake website https://themekaverses.net/. They also try to FOMO people by mentioning that minting is live and there are limited pieces available for minting. The fake website used by these scammers enables you to connect to your MetaMask wallet and deposit 0.2 ETH to claim a Meka. Once deposited, your ETH will be stolen and you will not be able to recover these funds so please be aware.
